The PIAA recommended equipment provider is Connect with your assigned mentor and follow them for a night during one of their PIAA assignments. This will help begin the process of getting game assignments. In New Jersey we just changed to ZebraWeb from Arbiter - no idea why, since Arbiter was fine, and everyone was used to it. Provide your availability to the Non-PIAA assignor. I have read some poor reviews of ZebraWeb here. Meetings are designed to help officials stay current on rules and interpretation and to provide a forum for discussion about recent game situations. ![]() Attend at least six CPBOA chapter meetings. You will also have access to the faculty of the new official school who will arrange scrimmages and classroom sessions to help you get comfortable in your new role as a PIAA official.\rYour first year you will join the CPBOA and it is recommended that you also join IAABO (These two organizations will help you get as far as you want to go in your officiating career.\rHere are some things you can expect your first year. ![]() When you attend one of the CPBOA new official class you and other first and second year officials will have a mentor to help you every step of the way. ![]()
